A házat a Filadelfia Anyaház átadta a gyülekezetnek, amelyben lakást alakítottak ki. 1950-ben a Népjóléti Minisztérium az alapítványt megszüntette, és az ingatlant a község tulajdonába adta. Éliás József budapesti református lelkész, aki 1944-ben a Jó Pásztor zsidó missziót vezette, 1945 márciusában megírta a noszvaji lelkésznek, hogy korábban azért nem látogatta meg a falut, mert „…itt Pesten ezreket menthetek meg munkámmal azok közül, akiket származásuk vagy politikai álláspontjuk miatt halálra kergetett a fasizmus, míg Noszvajon úgyis szeretetével körülveszi árváinkat a hívők serege. Ebben a feltevésemben nem csalódtam.”
