Nem sikerült vasárnap Cserépben az anyakönyves kutatás. Majd jövő hétvégén. Viszont az elektronikusan is elérhető Braham, Randolph L.: A népirtás politikája : a holocaust Magyarországon című könyvben ezt olvasom:

Mezőkövesd gettóját Péterffy Béla szolgabíró május 19-i, 3380/1944. sz. utasítása alapján hozták létre az Arany János, a Diófa, a Hársfa, a Kőrisfa és a Szegfű utcák kijelölt házaiban. A járás 931 zsidóját május 21-22-én gyűjtötték össze. Közülük 818 volt helyi illetőségű, 14 érkezett Andornaktályáról, 17 Borsodszemeréről, 13 Gömbösfalvárói, a többi pedig kisebb falvakból. A Péterffy által május 17-én kinevezett (3282/1944.) Zsidó Tanács Abonyi Lászlóból, Braun Andorból, Forgács Ignác-ból, Jungreisz Andor rabbiból, Neumann Sándorból és Schwarcz Gyulából állott. Péterffy június 5-én oszlatta fel a Zsidó Tanácsot (3641/3.-1944.), miután a zsidókat deportálásra Miskolcra szállították át.

A kisebb falvakban vannak a cserépiek, talán ezen a vonalon járva kiderül pontosan, hogy hány főt deportáltak Cserépfaluból. Kilencről tudok ma.
